Recollections of an RB-29 crew in Japan

Country Trails in Black and White

Page 1 of 10 Pages

As we begin our pictoral tour of some of Japan’s remarkable rural landscape and people, as they were found in 1953 and 1954, there are two selections of views that seem to come to the front as starting points.

One of these is a brief selection of views taken on the ascent and descent of Mount Fuji. The second set includes frames of a young Japanese girl in traditional dress.

We hope you will find this a fitting beginning for this black & white photo tour of the land and people who inhabited the area north and west of Tokyo at this time in history.
